Welcome to Stitching Different Colors! We are a non-profit organization that aids individuals in need, particularly those who may not qualify for assistance from food banks or other programs. Many Eastern European people are excluded from aid because of their EU status, and we aim to support them through various means such as providing food, clothing, and administrative assistance. At our organization, everyone is welcome, including those who may feel isolated or lonely, who can join us for lunch and engaging activities. We pride ourselves on being an LGBT-friendly organization, embracing diversity and inclusivity in all that we do.
Mission
Our goal is to assist those who are often overlooked for aid, such as individuals without a fixed address, homeless people, and those who feel isolated and lonely. We achieve this by organizing events and activities aimed at fostering community and support. Additionally, we aspire to create an inclusive and welcoming space for the LGBTQ+ community, providing a safe and supportive environment for those who may be seeking companionship and understanding.
Vision
We aim to demonstrate to everyone that loneliness doesn't have to be inevitable. Our vision includes organizing gatherings for those seeking friendly company and engaging activities. These activities could range from makeup classes to free lunches, and even sculpting classes for both parents and children. Ultimately, our mission is to bring people together and create meaningful connections within the community.
